Quarterly Project Progress Reporting Starts 30 March 2026 | DRKI

Quarterly Project Progress Reporting Starts 30 March 2026

Starting from 2026, BOI-promoted companies are required to submit quarterly project progress reports. Each report must be filed within 60 days from the end of the relevant quarter, commencing from the issuance date of the promotion certificate and continuing until the project is granted permission to commence operations.

Noted:

  1. Failure to submit the report within the prescribed timeframe will result in the suspension of access to BOI rights and benefits systems, such as the duty-free import system for raw materials, until the required report is submitted.
  2. Failure to submit reports for two consecutive periods may result in the revocation of all BOI rights and benefits.
  3. Once the project has commenced operations, quarterly project progress reporting is no longer required. However, the company must submit an annual operating performance report once a year, in July.

Author's Notes:
Please be aware that the Board of Investment (BOI) has recently tightened its regulations. The BOI now strictly emphasizes that the promoted projects must submit project progress report during 3-year moratorium period before the commencement of operations. Failure to report progress twice in a row may result in the revocation of their investment promotion certificate.
